If you can't find your Haywire network in your device's list of available Wi-Fi networks, here's how to track down what's going on.
Is this happening on all of your devices, or just one?
On all devices:
This usually means your access point needs a restart.
- Find your Haywire access point and check the light on the front. If there's no light, check your circuit breaker and make sure nothing is plugged into the ports on the underside of the unit.
- Unplug the power cable from the wall, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Give it 2-3 minutes, then check your Wi-Fi list again.
On just one device:
This is usually a device-side issue rather than something with your network.
- Check if your device supports 5GHz Wi-Fi. Some older or smart-home devices only support 2.4GHz. Try looking for the "_2.4" version of your network instead (for example, "Haywire 204_2.4").
- Forget and reconnect. See our guide to forgetting and rejoining a network.
- Restart the device fully — not just sleep, a full power cycle.
